David Blaine returns to network TV next month with a premiere week stunt Sept. 24 on ABC.
"David Blaine: Dive of Death" will follow Blaine's stunt -- hanging upside down from a wire, suspended five stories in the air, with no net or airbag, in Central Park's Wollman Rink in New York for three days and nights.
Using "electro-magnetic boots," Blaine will be able to walk "under the wire" during the 60 hour challenge, a network press release said.
He'll do the stunt without food, pulling himself up only to drink liquids and restore circulation.
Like a bat, he'll even sleep upside down. As in the olden days, the hanging will be open for public viewing beginning the morning of Sept. 22.
